I graduated magna cum laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University and went on to earn a masters degree in psychology, certification as a school psychologist and another masters in school administration and supervision. I am retired after a career in education for 50 years with a wealth of knowledge in providing the best practices to students from preschool through college. I have held positions as a college instructor, academic dean, department chair, district supervisor of special services, school psychologist, and child study team leader.
Most recently I have provided early intervention services to infants and toddlers as well as teaching yoga to adults. I believe all individuals can learn if one is able to identify their unique style of learning and can adapt materials to their areas of strength as well as to their areas of difficulty.
I look forward to working one on one with many interesting and interested students. I am interested in providing positive emotionally relevant instruction to elementary, college and adult learners. I can provide instruction in reading, writing, life skills, study skills, and psychology. I can also provide support and counseling to deal with anxiety and low self esteem. In addition, with my background in school psychology, I can address attentional difficulties that students may have in school.
As a yoga teacher, I work on providing my students with the means to a healthy lifestyle through reducing stress, increasing emotional resilience and maintaining a balanced life. I can provide support in life skills through the practice of yoga.
