Michelle started teaching as a peer tutor in 1990-91 at a NYC High School where she tutored Math, Spanish, History, and English. Since then, she earned her B.A., M.S. and M.A. college degrees in traditional Journalism, Gen. Admin., and Digital Journalism, respectively.

In 2014, after earning her Instructional Designer certification from Full Sail University, she returned to Mercer County Community College (MCCC) as an Education Specialist to teach college prep subjects such as AP English, the PARCC, ESL, SAT, and ACT to high schoolers. She was successful with her students at MCCC, where she had positive feedbacks.

(Dryden was previously an English-Writing tutor at MCCC from Oct. 2008 thru Feb. 2011).

Upon returning to MCCC in 2014 -18, she also taught college English at all levels, and ESL and GED to community students who were seeking computers and job skills for career advancements.
During this time, she was also an MCCC professor of Journalism, and a professor for new students who needed study skills and college 101 orientation.

Since 2020, she now works independently via online tutoring platforms. And, she prefers to teach English, writing, and Journalism-related subjects.

I have been using Adobe InDesign creative program since 2012. Before then, I used QuarkXpress and PageMaker for graphic design in college and while working as a Copy Editor at my local daily newspaper. I now use InDesign to create my professional resumes. I'll be happy to assist students to learn the fundamentals, intermediate and advanced features of this software. I usually deliver courses such as this by using existing professional video tutorials. I explain the features as we watch together. I also quiz my students intermittently during this process. Students can take notes, record, and ask questions as well.

I have studied Adobe Animate CC, and I am excited about it. This program used to be called Flash CC. Other programs such as Adobe Premiere CC also uses animations. Using animations, give designers the ability to make their objects pop and do many quirky things. I will help students to learn the Adobe Animate workspace and how to animate objects such as words and characters in their videos by using video tutorials and giving them explanations, quizzes, a chance to take notes, and to ask questions.

I am ready and qualified to tutor ASVAB subjects to you because I have experiences teaching them, and my students were happy. I am very familiar with the outline and requirements for ASVAB tests. Recently, I have been using Adobe InDesign and Learning Management Systems such as BlackBoard and Canvas. I have also used Adobe Captivate, Presenter and other publishing programs such as Articulate, SoftChalk and Camtasia. I am ready to help students to learn most of these Desktop publishing programs. I also build websites using WordPress. But, I'll be more focused on the MicroSoft and Adobe software. I have was an English tutor at my local community college for several years. I also taught Reading/Writing and Language Arts as a GED instructor there. Some students I taught as a tutor and instructor, were taking tests such as their GED, PARCC, ESL, and SATs. It is my delight to now be able to independently tutor students on my own schedule in-person or online.
