I have many years helping individuals in their career development. I have taken classes through Coach Training Alliance and Career Coach Institute. Additionally, I am a graduate of Dale Carnegie Institute in Public Speaking and Effective Human Relations. I have experience guiding/coaching individuals who are trying to find a job, or trying to get a promotion. Some services include: completing a job application, basic resume review, writing cover and follow-up letters, job searching methods, preparing for an interview (including role-playing),discovering strengths and weaknesses and unique talents, etc., and career transitions. I also have personal experience with all of the above, throughout my 35+ years of work experience.

I have a B.A. degree in Education from Rutgers University, and I have permanent teacher certification (science) from the State Dept. of Education. I have tutored 100's of students throughout my career of over 30 years, including at least 50% being elementary grade students (K-6th). Subjects include English-reading, writing, speaking, Math, Science, Study/Test Taking & Computer skills. I also have teacher certification from Sylvan Online, and I have been qualified to teach teaching Elementary Science & Math from WyzAnt Tutoring. Lastly, I have been successful in helping elementary students develop self-confidence through individual tutoring and coaching (I'm also a life-coach), as it forms the necessary foundation for success as they move into higher grades and eventually into adulthood.

I have tutored English reading, writing, speaking, listening (elementary through adult) for many years, including through Sylvan (Educate) Online. I start with the student's strengths and interests and then work on his/her areas which need improvement. There are no 'stupid' questions in my class, and it is ok to make a mistake. Practice, practice, practice is very important to improve the student's skills and confidence.

I am qualified to tutor study skills having earned a B.A. degree in Education from Rutgers University and permanent State Teacher Certification, which included learning how to help students study/learn more effectively using proven techniques. I have numerous years of experience teaching/tutoring/coaching students in various subjects, which included teaching them how to study better including preparing for tests. I often help students with their study skills by encouraging effective time-management, prioritization, better organization and note-taking, frequent reviews and practice, and stress-reduction techniques particularly when studying for/taking tests. Finally, as a trained life-coach, I am focused on helping students use specific study skills which work best for each unique individual. I look forward to helping students become a success and achieve their goals.
