Hi! I'm Tina and I've been teaching virtual music lessons for over 15 years. I have a bachelor's degree in Music Education and was a high school band director for ten years. As a woodwind musician, I specialize in clarinet, bass clarinet, flute, and saxophone. I teach all levels of woodwind players, from true beginners to those who are more advanced, and I adjust my pace and lesson content to fit your needs.
I have a passion for teaching conducting! I have worked with high school and college students who were prepping for drum major auditions and have taught multiple levels of undergraduate and graduate conducting courses to music educators and professional musicians. I have provided instruction and feedback to current music teachers and ensemble directors to help them be more effective. My former students have gone on to become drum majors, music teachers, and to study conducting in graduate school. I especially enjoy helping current teachers and band/orchestra directors improve their score study and conducting skills.
In our lessons, we can work together to set goals and work at a pace that feels comfortable to you!
