I’m Camryn, a certified teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Montclair State University and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from The College of New Jersey. I hold K–6 Elementary Education and K–12 Special Education certifications and am currently completing coursework toward a Grades 5–8 Middle School Mathematics certification. My background has provided me with strong content knowledge as well as effective strategies to support a wide range of learners.

I have four years of professional teaching experience, including three years in a middle school setting and one year in elementary education. I currently teach special education mathematics for grades 6–8 in Princeton, New Jersey. I have experience teaching Algebra 1 as well as sixth and seventh grade math. In my teaching, I focus on differentiating instruction to meet individual student needs and use targeted supports to help students build understanding and confidence in math.

In addition to my classroom experience, I have one year of tutoring experience working with students in grades K–8 in one-on-one settings. I also support students in developing organization, note-taking, test-taking, and executive functioning skills that contribute to overall academic success. My approach is structured and supportive, helping students strengthen their skills and work toward their academic goals.

Approved Subjects

ADHD

ADHD

I have experience as a special education teacher supporting students with ADHD by identifying their individual strengths, challenges, and learning profiles. I focus on helping students develop effective strategies for attention, organization, time management, and task completion. My approach is strengths-based, emphasizing practical tools that build confidence and independence in both academic and daily routines. I work closely with students to find strategies that fit their needs and help them succeed in the classroom.
Dyslexia

Dyslexia

I am a special education teacher and have personal experience with dyslexia and grew up learning a variety of strategies to better understand what I read, hear, and write. These strategies include rereading sentences or paragraphs, visualizing or drawing ideas, highlighting key terms and important information, and using closed captions when watching videos. I also rely on asking questions for clarification and having directions repeated to support comprehension and learning. I am passionate about passing these strategies on to my students to help them build confidence and independence in their own learning.
Elementary (K-6th)

Elementary (K-6th)

I have over two years of experience teaching at the elementary level, including student teaching and full-time classroom instruction in both 2nd and 3rd grade. During this time, I taught all core subjects and also gained valuable experience supporting students in special education while teaching 2nd grade. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education along with a K–6 teaching certification, which has prepared me to meet diverse learning needs. In addition, I have provided targeted tutoring for students in grades K–2, helping build strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and math.
Executive Functioning

Executive Functioning

I have experience teaching executive functioning skills, including organization, time management, task initiation, study strategies, test taking strategies, and note taking strategies to support student success. In the classroom, I help students build practical routines and systems that improve focus, follow-through, and independence in academic settings. In addition, I bring strong personal organization skills that I use to model effective planning, structured thinking, and efficient workflow. My approach shows clear strategies that students can apply across all subjects and in everyday life.
Track & Field

Track & Field

I have over three years of experience coaching and training track and field athletes at the middle and high school levels, with a focus on developing proper technique, speed, and overall performance. I work with beginners and developing athletes in long-distance events (800–3200 meters and 5K), middle-distance (400–800 meters), and sprints (100–400 meters). My coaching style is supportive, structured, and tailored to each athlete’s goals and skill level. I design tiered training plans that support athletes from beginner to advanced levels, helping them build fitness, stay motivated, and progress with confidence. I emphasize strong fundamentals, injury prevention, and growth both on and off the track.
