Pleased to meet you, my name is Phillip. I specialize in helping others learn, re-learn, and/or hone their knowledge and skills in a variety of subjects by weaving what is learned 'by the book' with 'real world' experiences that help make the topics being tutored make more sense.

My educational background is varied and perhaps unconventional. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Colorado Technical University - Sioux Falls with my Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. This was after starting my college career at Texas Wesleyan University, majoring in Chemistry, later resuming college majoring Culinary Arts, before finally graduating with honors from Colorado Technical University Online with my Associate's Degree in General Studies. I continued my coursework to earn my Bachelor's, as well as some courses toward an MBA.

My whole life, I've found myself enjoying helping others understand concepts and topics being taught. I was often asked to assist fellow students understand material being taught. I held one-on-one and group sessions in high school. This continued in college, for 1st and 2nd year classes such as General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Accounting, and Finance. In the workforce, I was often tasked with training new employees and conducting learning workshops for teammates to help them prepare for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam, as well as topics like Microsoft Access and Excel, automating via VBA, and the T-SQL language and SQL Server.

Additional topics that I have tutored individuals on include baseball (I played for many years and have coached many players on all aspects of the game) and cooking (I was a chef for a several years). Just ask if you have any questions about being tutored/coached in these topics.

If any of this sounds like what you need to help you overcome whatever the obstacle is that you are challenged with, please reach out and let's discuss! I look forward to reading what you send!

Started 2 years in high school as 1B and DH - earned All-District honors. Played 6+ years of youth baseball, primarily Catcher - 3 times I played all 9 positions in a game. After high school, did 1-on-1 instructing players looking to improve a variety of facets of their game. Most recently have gained experience coaching/managing beginner ball players (4-7 year olds) on Tee Ball and Coach Pitch teams, teaching basic fundamentals. I also serve on the Board of Directors of the local little league.
