I am a mathematics teacher in Ridgefield Park. I have almost 20 years experience teaching. I am very knowledgeable and patient. I have taught every single level of Math from Basic Skills Math, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trig/Stats, SAT Math, AHSA and AP Calculus. I have many years tutoring experience on a one on one level. I make sure that the student understands the material and is able to apply it.

I have a Bachelor's in Mathematics from Florida Southern College. My GPA in my core subject area was a 3.75 out of a 4.0 scale. My AP Calculus AB scores are some of the best in NJ. Listed below are the scores for the 5 years I have been teaching this class.
2013-2014 class avg 4. 625
2014-2015 class avg 4. 500
2015-2016 class avg 4. 7
2016-2017 class avg 4. 688
2017-2018 class avg 4. 5

I find different ways for students to understand a concept to make it relatable to them. My belief is students need to know why and how things work instead of just accepting a fact. Please feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have. I am looking to help you really understand mathematics and see it is not difficult.

Homeschool

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I have taught Algebra I for many years and how to apply it in a real-life setting. Domain and Range of renting a car to when will two jobs pay the same. I explain the concepts in an easy way for people to understand.
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

I have been teaching Honors Algebra II now for 8 years straight. In my opinion this is the most important of any math class. If you can not do Algebra II you will have a tough time with Precalculus, Calculus, and anything above. Most of the concepts are factoring and solving by setting up to zero. There is polynomial solving, rational expressions, probability, stats, and arithmetic and geometric sequence.
Calculus,

Calculus

Almost all of my students get a 5 the rest get a 4. I explain AP Calculus in a way that makes sense to everyone. Most of my students come back and thank me for preparing them. They say that they are often times the strongest in their next level of math due to theory and application that I have taught them.
Geometry,

Geometry

Geometry is a a subject that I have taught and tutored for many years. It starts off with proofs, midpoint, angle bisectors, then to quadlaterals, circles, ellipses, circumcenter, and area.
Prealgebra,

Prealgebra

I am a Mathematics teacher with 20 years teaching experience. I have taught every level of math from 7th grade through AP Calculus.
Precalculus,

Precalculus

I have taught and tutored this class for nearly 20 years. Most of the concepts are an in depth look at topics from Algebra II. At the end students will learn limits which is the beginning of Calculus and sometimes parametric and polar coordinates.
SAT Math,

SAT Math

SAT math is about applying the knowledge you have learned from Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II. It is about understanding the question and tackling it with the concepts learned. I have tutored several students that were close to a perfect score in the Math portion of the regular and Math II subject test.
