Hi there! As a dedicated, passionate teacher, my purpose is to inspire joyous and engaging learning that will encourage all types of learners to reach their highest potential. It is my goal to combine my range of experiences with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, and flexible teacher. I am an Ivy League, Certified Special Education Teacher, who is aligned with the Orton Gillingham, Multi-Sensory Approach to Language. I work with all kinds of learners including children with dyslexia and ADHD. Able to work with a variety of Orton Gillingham/SOR curriculums. Enjoys working with all types of learners, and tries to make teaching children to read interesting and fun.
I use the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum along with the SOR/Orton Gillingham approach to help children put their ideas to paper and pencil.
Registered Children's Yoga Teacher, specializing in sharing yoga with children with various learning styles.

Experienced and organized tutor

Leslie has been helping my 4th grader with her reading for several months. My daughter has made great progress and has essentially closed her reading gap. When searching for a tutor I was looking for someone with advanced literacy training and experience. Leslie certainly has that and more. Leslie is very organized and runs her lessons in a very structured manner using both online tools and printed material. I am grateful for Leslie and the support she is providing my daughter.
