I love to teach/tutor, especially the little ones! I love seeing the light bulb go off inside their heads when they finally get something they were struggling at! I had a math tutor growing up that I would go to for help before school, so there is nothing to be ashamed about needing extra help! Everyone is here to make sure you succeed to your utmost ability!
I configure a variety of ways using different materials for each student to succeed, since not everyone learns the same!
Even though I struggled with saying words backwards as a kid, I see the strong importance in vocabulary. Incorporating games that are fun (so the kids do not see it as hard work), but are allowing them to practice their words is what keeps them engaged. Nothing is more satisfying then hearing a child read through a sentence they struggled with with fluency.
I may still seek out help with my writing, but that is because I am still learning. It is important for children to know you can never stop building your knowledge. Kids love dry-erase boards, so I love creating spelling games on them; it keeps them very engaged. I love finding new ways to get them moving, like hiding different words on notecards for them to find and once found, have to write out the word 5x each. When kids hear they get to move, it is usually straight excitement.
Now that you have just learned a little about me, I am excited to get to meet you! I really do have a love for teaching/tutoring children. It is so important to make sure no children are being left behind! I promise each session with be filled with knowledge and laughter, so
