Hi! I am a first-year college student in the Honors Program with a 4.0 GPA and a strong background in English and writing. Throughout high school, I took advanced and honors-level English courses, where I developed skills in essay writing, grammar, reading comprehension, and literary analysis. I enjoy helping students understand these subjects in a clear and approachable way, especially when they feel challenging at first.

I have two years of assistant teaching experience, where I worked with students to help reinforce lessons, support their understanding, and provide additional one-on-one guidance when needed. In addition, during my senior year of high school, I assisted in an elementary school classroom, helping younger students stay engaged, complete assignments, and better understand their daily lessons. I also have five years of babysitting experience, which has strengthened my patience, communication skills, and ability to work with children of different ages. These experiences have allowed me to work with students in both group and one-on-one settings, and to adapt my approach based on each student’s learning style.

My tutoring approach is supportive, flexible, and focused on building confidence. I break down concepts into simple, manageable steps and use clear examples to make material easier to understand. I can help with grammar, writing, vocabulary, reading comprehension, homework, and test preparation, as well as helping students stay ahead in their coursework. My goal is to create a comfortable and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and are motivated to improve and succeed.
