Hi, I’m Joe! I graduated Summa Cum Laude from CUNY Queens College with a 3.97 GPA and a degree in Biology–Neuroscience. After graduating, I prepared for the MCAT and scored a 516 (92nd percentile), including a perfect 132 (100th percentile) on Psychology/Sociology. I began tutoring shortly afterward and have continued consistently since then, as teaching and mentoring students is something I genuinely enjoy.

I am currently a medical student at New York Medical College and serve as an institution-selected peer tutor for first-year medical students. My experience tutoring both pre-med and medical students has strengthened my ability to break down complex topics into clear, understandable concepts. I specialize in MCAT Biology, Biochemistry, and Psychology/Sociology, and I focus on helping students build deep understanding of the material using creative mnemonic devices, structured explanations, and targeted practice.
My tutoring goes beyond content review. I work closely with students to improve MCAT strategy, passage analysis, time management, and study planning, tailoring each lesson to the student’s learning style, pace, and goals. My aim is to make independent study more effective by helping students truly understand high-yield concepts and retain them long term.
My students have achieved strong results, including one who improved from a 498 diagnostic score to a 516 on test day and is now enrolled at a top-tier M.D. program. Seeing students gain confidence and reach their goals is one of the most rewarding parts of tutoring.
I look forward to helping you build confidence, master the material, and achieve the MCAT score you need to get into medical school.
