As a biology and chemistry peer tutor throughout college, I made it my top priority to ensure my students felt completely comfortable and confident with the material we learned together, not ending the session until they did. With my students, I start at the most basic foundational concepts, then make easy understandable connections until they grasp the bigger picture. Through visual aids like drawings and videos, my students comprehend the science concepts on a deeper level. It’s important to me that my students feel comfortable asking questions and reviewing the material as many times as they need.
