I hold a Mathematical Sciences degree from Kean University, Union NJ. My degree in math certainly comes into play when solving computer problems. I do not give up on difficult issues. I also have a certification in graphic and web design which I utilize in helping my clients market themselves using today's technology. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I'm a private computer consultant and tutor. I have over 15 years' experience teaching clients how to use a computer, both PC and Mac. I teach basic and intermediate MS Excel. My background is in math as well as teaching, obviously, so I am able to explain the process of creating formulas very well.
Microsoft Outlook can be an extremely useful tool for not only checking and organizing email, but this program has contact and calendar capabilities as well as tasks, rules for incoming mail and syncing features (to your mobile phone). I can teach you how to use Outlook for your specific needs and how to filter out the things you don't need as well.
I have been teaching the ins and outs of Microsoft Windows for many years. I have experience with Windows XP, Vista, and 7 and specialize in teaching file organization as well as using the software programs that come with your computer.
