CE Certified business education teacher specializing in Math/scie

Fathima S.

I am qualified to tutor students in **Mathematics, Science, and Business** based on my educational background, teaching experience, and professional experience in the financial industry. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Secondary Education at American College of Education and hold a Certificate of Eligibility (CE) in Business Education in New Jersey. My academic and professional background has helped me develop strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills that I can use to support students in these subjects.

I have teaching experience in the Rockaway School District and at a private school, where I have worked with middle and high-school students, including Grade 2 students. My teaching approach focuses on explaining concepts clearly, breaking challenging topics into manageable steps, using real-life examples, and providing guided practice to help students build confidence and understanding. I adapt my instruction to students’ individual learning needs and encourage them to ask questions, think critically, and become independent learners.

In addition to my teaching experience, I have worked with leading banks and financial organizations. This professional background provides practical knowledge of business concepts, finance, budgeting, and financial decision-making, which I can connect to real-world examples when tutoring Business. I can also support students in Mathematics by helping them strengthen foundational skills, logical reasoning, and problem-solving strategies, and in Science by encouraging observation, inquiry, and understanding of key concepts. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students can improve their academic performance, develop effective study habits, and gain confidence in their abilities.
