I hold a Ph.D. in Human Biology from the University of Southern California, an M.S. in Kinesiology from California State University, Long Beach, and a B.S. in Nutritional Science from Rutgers University–New Brunswick. I have more than eight years of experience teaching and mentoring university students in both in-person and online environments. My teaching experience spans the biological, physiological, nutritional, and behavioral sciences, including courses in human nutrition, sports nutrition, endocrinology and metabolism, human biology, exercise physiology, and psychology.
My teaching approach emphasizes understanding rather than memorization. I break complex concepts into clear, manageable components and use practical examples and connections between physiological systems to help students understand underlying mechanisms. I adapt my approach to each student's background, learning style, and academic goals, with a focus on building both knowledge and confidence. I have taught students with a wide range of academic backgrounds and levels of preparation, from foundational coursework through advanced university-level material.
