Hi, my name's Jaspreet! I recently graduated from Yale University, where I studied Statistics and Data Science. I've always been someone who loves breaking down hard problems into something manageable, and that's really what drew me to tutoring in the first place.
My experience spans a pretty wide range. In high school, I tutored students one-on-one for the SAT and ACT, focusing on building test-taking strategies alongside the actual content, and helped students with college essay editing — working through drafts, strengthening their voice, and making sure their story came through clearly. I also worked with elementary school kids in my hometown on foundational math and reading, which taught me a lot about patience and meeting students exactly where they are.
At Yale, I served as a Teaching Assistant for two semesters in statistics and math courses, leading problem-solving sessions and holding office hours. I also tutored Yale students individually in math and American Sign Language, and have worked with families of deaf children to help them better understand how to support their child's learning and communication at home.
I try to make sessions feel low-pressure and productive at the same time. Outside of academics, I love reading and always encourage my students to find that same curiosity in whatever subject we're working on together!
