Bonjour! My name is Elizabeth M. and I have tutored students in French for many years. After graduating from The College of New Jersey in 2014 with a major in International Relations and minors in French and Art History, I moved back to the country I studied abroad in--France! I lived in France for two years, teaching English to young students and gaining language fluency.
When I moved back to the U.S., I first worked at the French-American Chamber of Commerce in NYC. There, I worked with mostly French students, helping them obtain J-1 visas and improving my understanding of French business and economic differences. Following that role, I spent nearly four years as a Project Manager for USAID projects in the francophone African countries of Togo, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Madagascar. Through these experiences, I strengthened my professional vocabulary even further, and learned just how vast and culturally-rich the "French-speaking world" is outside of just Paris.
I currently tutor high school students with homework help and test preparation. I also tutor some adult learners who are moving forward with their lifelong dream of speaking French. I hope I can help and work with you or your child soon!
