Diane was my daughter's writing tutor this summer, and she is an exceptional teacher. She shared a structured process to help organize ideas and used this structure as the basis for the entire set of lessons, from baseline to the end product. In each lesson, she was patient, curious, kind and helpful. She also went above and beyond to suggest other accommodations and strategies that would be beneficial to my daughter at school. As a result of the lessons, my daughter improved her skills and gained confidence in her abilities and talents. I would highly recommend Diane!

Diane is a gem! She tutors with a broad base of education, knowledge, & experience. Her ability to share that information in a very understandable way is a credit to her as an experienced teacher. She is so committed to teaching reading to a diverse population of students. As a teacher, I have been searching for a tutor to help me build my early literacy skills. Specifically, she is helping me develop stronger reading, & phonics instruction. After my first tutoring session, I have several concrete ideas to put into practice. Diane had wonderful insight on the areas my son needed to focus on and she laid out an appropriate plan to address them. She gave him assignments appropriate for his grade level and did not “dumb down” her expectations for him which actually prompted him to work harder to achieve them for the next lesson. It has been little bit close to 3 months that we are receiving tutoring services from Diane. In a short period of time, Diane has identified where my son’s gaps are, developed a lesson plan to eliminate the gap and diligently followed to ensure my son is caught up with his grade level requirements. Currently we have also started instructions on writing and we are seeing great improvement on that area as well. It is really hard to find a teacher that has the ability to explain the why’s and reasons of the rules rather than simply memorizing the words. Diane has been patient and worked with my son’s limitations and ensured that he reached his goals. Now he is a more confident speller and writer.

She is very responsible that always write us a detailed summary after each class that we may follow up with her instantly on the progress. Diane is a great tutor, Her ability to connect with her students and get through to them is amazing. She has had one session with my 4th grader (son) and I can already see a difference. Not only did she help him understand the math he is struggling with but she gave him the confidence to participate in class, Imagine what the outcome will be after a few more sessions.
