I am a graduate of Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a minor in Computer Science. I scored a 35 on the ACT and a 1520 on the SAT on my first attempt, and I have over two years of experience teaching SAT and ACT prep working with high school sophomores and juniors in both classroom and small-group settings. In addition to classroom instruction, I have tutored privately, designing fully personalized lessons that focus on each student’s unique strengths, challenges, and goals.
My approach goes beyond content mastery: I emphasize practical strategies, time-saving tips, and test-taking techniques that can transform the way students approach the exam. I work closely with each student to create a tailored study plan, breaking the test into manageable sections and providing actionable steps to build confidence and reduce stress. By adapting lessons to each learner’s style, I help students not only understand the material but also develop smarter ways to tackle problems, manage their time, and approach the test with a strategic mindset.
Above all, I strive to connect with my students and empower them to reach their full potential. I bring patience, enthusiasm, and clear communication to every session, whether we are drilling math shortcuts, analyzing reading passages together, or reviewing tricky grammar rules. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel capable, motivated, and equipped to achieve measurable score improvements. Many of my students have seen SAT gains of 50–100+ points and ACT increases of several points, and more importantly help empower students to feel confident on test day and to reach the score improvements that open doors to their future college opportunities and beyond. I’m here to help students master the test and believe in their own ability to excel!
