Composition (Music)

Composition (Music)

While I began composing at the age of 14, I went on to earn my BA in Composition from the prestigious Jacobs School of Music (JSoM) in 2022. During my time at Jacobs, I had the privilege of studying under esteemed faculty composers like Don Freund, P.Q. Phan, and Aaron Travers. I embraced every opportunity to experiment with different instruments and styles, constantly pushing my creative boundaries. Although I’ve explored electronic music, my true passion lies in composing for the voice and acoustic instruments, where I feel most connected to the expressive potential of music.
Ear Training

Ear Training

In high school, I developed a deep passion for music theory, even taking AP Music Theory twice because I loved it so much. I was able to pass both the Written and Aural exams with top scores (5's), and I even had the opportunity to step in as a teaching assistant when our teacher was absent. Afterward, I tested out of all my college music theory classes to focus more on composition. With my experience tutoring classmates and teaching ear training concepts, I bring a well-rounded and hands-on approach to helping students succeed in their studies.
