It's nice to meet you, my name is David!

My professional journey began in the marketing and advertising sectors, where I gained valuable experience and knowledge as an account executive with publishing firms and advertising agencies in Minneapolis and New York. My interest in strategic communication intersected with my passion for education, leading me to depart from those fields after a few years to pursue graduate studies and a career as a university lecturer.

I have been a member of Rutgers University's School of Communication and Information adjunct faculty since 2012. I earned a BA in English from Lafayette College (‘00), an MA in Liberal Studies from the City University of New York - Graduate Center (‘11), and a Master of Philosophy in Media Studies from Rutgers University (January ‘25). I have designed and delivered more than 70 college courses via in-person, online, and hybrid modalities, and I regularly work with students to improve their writing, reading, public speaking, and critical thinking skills.

Teaching is my passion and my calling. As much as I love all the classes I have the opportunity to teach, the large enrollment of university courses can make it difficult to connect with students and contribute to their progress on an individual basis. Tutoring is an invaluable opportunity to work individually with students to provide them with the space and the tools they need to overcome obstacles and develop their skills and abilities.
