About Neil

Bio

I am currently an adjunct instructor for Ocean County College . For one term I taught bioethics for Kean University. From 2008 - 2016 I was employed as an adjunct instructor and writing tutor at Atlantic Cape Community College (ACCC) . I primarily taught World Religions and Introduction to Philosophy. In addition I taught Western Civilization, US History, and Government classes. Many times I have seen the students writing improve as they have worked with me through the term. Even non...

I am currently an adjunct instructor for Ocean County College . For one term I taught bioethics for Kean University. From 2008 - 2016 I was employed as an adjunct instructor and writing tutor at Atlantic Cape Community College (ACCC) . I primarily taught World Religions and Introduction to Philosophy. In addition I taught Western Civilization, US History, and Government classes. Many times I have seen the students writing improve as they have worked with me through the term. Even non English speakers have made great strides with my tutoring. Recently I have tutored graduate students taking online courses.

In addition to my tutoring at ACCC, I have also tutored Korean students for the SAT at Pilgrim Academy. I tutored Math and Language Arts students at the Davies Middle School, Hamilton Township, NJ. With other tutoring services I have tutored a high school student for all his academics especially with his work in psychology. In addition, this summer I tutored students in SAT and English preparation.

One of my students was the valedictorian at Oakcrest High School and is now a student at Harvard.

Prior to my college teaching, I taught junior high social studies for 29 years in Atlantic City, NJ. While in Atlantic City, I chaired the Curriculum Content Committees that rewrote the curriculum to prepare the students to pass the state tests.

After introductions, Neil made us feel comfortable with him. Explained his methods. Did some preliminary testing to establish strengths and areas of concern. Made an assignment online. Patient and understanding. Very satisfied with first session.

Neil was wonderful! He was compassionate, kind, made suggestions on what to prioritize. Neil also made suggestions on how to capture audience attention when doing oral presentation for class. Also, he helped me understand how to summarize key points.

Very Prompt Tutor

Mr. B is a very prompt tutor. He helped my son learn English Grammar starting from the fundamentals. He went through lot of exercises that helped my son improve his grammer usages. He also went through SAT vocabulary. Mr. B is a good teacher and I plan to continue to use his services as required.
