As a certified math teacher with 25 years of classroom experience, I bring both depth of knowledge and proven strategies to my tutoring. I’ve taught 6th and 7th grade math and was consistently rated Highly Effective by the state. My students showed growth because I met them where they were. My own love of math began early and I continued to succeed through advanced college-level courses, graduating cum laude with a specialization in mathematics. This strong academic background, combined with years of practical teaching experience, allows me to explain concepts clearly and adapt my approach for each learner.

In addition to teaching in the classroom, I’ve worked one-on-one with many students both virtually and in person. Tutoring gives me the chance to focus on individual needs, whether that’s building foundational skills, preparing for assessments, or boosting confidence. Parents often share that their child feels more capable and less anxious about math after working with me, which is something I truly take pride in.

I believe all students can learn math with the right guidance and mindset. My philosophy is rooted in the idea of growth — math isn’t about being “naturally gifted,” it’s about practice, patience, and encouragement. I specialize in making math feel achievable, even for students who have struggled in the past. By blending professional expertise with a supportive, motivating approach, I help students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels strengthen their skills and develop confidence that carries far beyond the classroom.
