Hi! I'm Lauren. I am a New Jersey certified high school counselor with a Master’s degree in School Counseling and over 10 years of experience supporting students and families through academic planning and the college admissions process. In addition to my high school counseling role, I have also served as a professor at Rowan College of South Jersey, where I worked with college students to strengthen writing, study skills, and academic performance. This blend of high school and college-level teaching allows me to help students build skills that directly translate to success beyond graduation.
I currently work with high school students in all grade levels, with a strong focus on college admissions strategy, essay development, and application completion. I have extensive experience with the Common App, Naviance, transcripts, recommendation letters, and extracurricular planning. I support students applying to highly selective universities as well as those focused on finding the best-fit college or career pathway. My approach is structured and step-by-step, helping students break down deadlines and tasks so the process feels manageable and clear.
My tutoring style is supportive, organized, and highly individualized. I focus on helping students develop authentic, compelling applications while reducing stress and building confidence. Each session is designed to produce real progress, whether we are brainstorming essays, refining writing, or mapping out a full admissions timeline. I am currently accepting new students, and availability is limited during peak application season—early booking is encouraged.
