After 44 years of professional engineering experience I retired in 2017 and began tutoring.

Math was always one of my favorite subjects. I also enjoy math challenges and try to learn new ideas for problem solutions.

When Microsoft Office was launched over 30 years ago, I became a rabid fan of Excel. Over the years I have also become a proficient user. I especially enjoy utilizing VBA to create macros and automate many repetitive tasks.

My past tutoring experience is in several different areas of math including Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus and Trigonometry. The opportunity to work with others who want to improve their skills has been very fulfilling. I am convinced anyone can do well in math once they develop some confidence in their own ability. When someone is able to solve a problem that they may have thought impossible, it can provide an exhilarating experience.

The breadth of my students has also enlightened me on alternate ways of tutoring. Not everyone learns the same way or at the same speed. I have adapted my approach depending on the individual student and their needs.

My goal is to provide each student with the information and explanation they need to develop confidence with any concepts and ultimately achieve the outcome that they desire.
