My name is Anthony. I graduated summa cum laude from Monmouth University in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in biology with a specialization in high school education. In my pursuit of becoming a teacher, I've strived to become the ideal educator that I always wanted growing up: someone who's gentle, light-hearted, and fun to have but is also able to be stern, fair, and reasonable.
It is my belief that, as a teacher, it is my responsibility to make sure that what is being taught is designed to fit the specific needs or desires of the student. After all, the goal is to get people engaged with your class, not bored out of their minds. This means mixing up the boring discussions to include demonstrations, opportunities to get out of your seat, funny allegories, experimentation, and so much more! I pride myself in ensuring that I am always available to help any student who walks through my doors, be it for extra help with an assignment or even if they need a quiet place to eat their lunch because they're having a bad day.
In making sure that I can deliver the best instruction possible, each of my lessons are highly structured and planned to follow the specific content standards without feeling like a slog to try and get through it. There will always be opportunities for a bit of that "get up out of your seat" excitement that draws kids in so well and makes them enjoy what they're learning.
I've been teaching for about 4.5 years now and have taught anywhere from highly advanced learners to struggling kids with a wide breadth of modifications and learning disabilities. Regardless of skill level, I approach each student equally, as I believe that anyone can become a scientist if they put their minds to it and are given the right instruction!
I always try to make myself easy to reach and try to respond to questions and requests as soon as possible. Please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions or would simply like to schedule a lesson!
Best of luck and have a nice day!
