I am a social studies teacher with 13 years of experience in the classroom. I have had extensive training in guiding and working students of all levels, including earning a master's degree from Teachers College, Columbia University in the teaching of social studies. I am passionate about education and have even presented at the New Jersey Council for the Social Studies Annual Conference (as you can see in my profile picture!). I am enthusiastic and thoughtful about using my skills and knowledge to help young people learn and grow. As a teacher and tutor, I am reliable, professional, and hard working. I am an outstanding English tutor because I will use a variety of strategies to assess reading and writing abilities, and then create a plan to reflect our goals. I am able to guide students as we build on their education foundations and then focus on improving skills such as reading and summarizing difficult texts, determining source reliability, conducting research with multiple sources, writing well-structured essays, improving vocabulary, and proofreading.

I am an outstanding History tutor because I have taught over thousand students in both US and ancient world history. I am able to employ many strategies to guide young people as they navigate a variety of social studies related topics.
