As a former university professor and a certified teacher of mathematics in NJ with over 38 years of experience, I am an expert at working with students to develop their skills and strengthen their understanding of concepts. My decades of teaching experience allow me to easily diagnose my students’ confusion and misunderstanding so that they may reach their goals and find great success. My teaching method involves finding an individualized approach to each student and then presenting even the most complex material in a readily understandable form. I enjoy working with students in a variety of settings. From large lecture halls to small groups to one-on-one study, I pride myself on professionalism, patience, and outstanding results for students at all levels of learning (middle school, high school, college, and graduate levels).

My interest in mathematics began during my days as a student when I delighted in helping my teachers explain mathematical concepts to my classmates. Starting at an early age, I developed a fascination with the history of mathematics and the lives of the great mathematicians. Years later, I went on to compete for and win a coveted place at the prestigious Lomonosov State University of Moscow, where I earned my M.S. My mathematical background also includes lecturing and teaching Calculus and special math courses to the students of Novocherkassk Polytechnic Institute, where I received my Ph.D. Novocherkassk Polytechnic Institute is southern Russia’s oldest polytechnic institute; there, I had the pleasure of teaching many future engineers who went on to work both in Russia and abroad. More recently, I have been working with classes in NJ schools and tutoring WyzAnt students.
