I'm also an adjunct instructor at Middlesex County College, so I work with adult learners as well as children. I tutor reading, math, English language skills, and accounting, including financial accounting, managerial and cost accounting, intermediate accounting, tax, and auditing, and I'm comfortable working in Excel.
What I bring to every subject is the same thing: I'm trained to find the exact place where a student got lost and build the concept back up from there. Six years in the classroom and a master's in education will do that to you. Whether it's a third grader who's stuck on fractions, an adult learner building confidence in English, or a college student who's memorizing accounting rules instead of understanding them, the work is the same: figure out what's missing and fill it in.
I genuinely love this work. Teaching has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and I try to make sessions engaging rather than a lecture: lots of questions, lots of working through problems together, and no judgment about what you don't know yet. My goal is that you leave each session understanding something you didn't before, not just with the homework finished.
