Thank you for looking into my profile. My name is James, and I am a tutor specializing in subjects relating to biology, ranging from biochemistry to molecular biology. I am currently a practicing cancer biologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and am published in multiple scientific papers. Because of this I believe I can offer a unique perspective of biological phenomena not just found in a classroom or lecture hall. I have over three years of formal tutoring experience at the college level. My tutoring experiences ranged from one-on-one to discussion groups, focusing on assisting students from under-represented backgrounds. I have personally trained high school students to medical students in understanding experimental approaches and data interpretation of bench work related to Translational Research.

My educational history is also extensive. I am currently a PhD student pursuing a Doctorate in Cancer Biology from the Gerstner Sloan Kettering School of Biomedical Sciences. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and was named a Geoffrey Beene Fellow. I hold a Bachelors of Biological Sciences from the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences of Rutgers University cum laude. Also, I hold a Masters of Biomedical Sciences from the Rutgers School of Graduate Studies of Rutgers University magna cum laude. This amount of schooling has firmly instilled in me an understanding of what aspiring biologists and medical professionals endure to gain an understanding of hard-to-grasp concepts and all the adversity that coincides.
