I hold a bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a concentration in European Affairs and Philosophy from Fordham University, and I am currently in the process of earning my Master’s degree in Mathematics Education (K–12). My academic background combines strong analytical reasoning with a deep emphasis on critical thinking and problem-solving, skills that directly inform how I teach mathematics. I am able to tutor a wide range of math subjects because my formal training is paired with ongoing graduate-level coursework specifically focused on math pedagogy, curriculum design, and student-centered instruction.
I have over five years of experience teaching in classroom settings and more than ten years of experience tutoring students one-on-one. My teaching experience spans preschool, middle school, and high school, allowing me to work comfortably with a wide range of ages and developmental levels. In formal classroom environments, I have taught Math 6, Math 7, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and Calculus, as well as courses in media studies, financial literacy, and economics. In tutoring settings, I focus on individualized instruction, breaking down concepts into clear, manageable steps and adapting explanations to fit each student’s learning style. I emphasize conceptual understanding over memorization so students build confidence and long-term skills.
In addition to teaching, I am a professional photographer and small business owner, which informs my instructional approach by connecting mathematics to real-world applications such as budgeting, scaling, ratios, and problem-solving in authentic contexts. This blend of classroom experience, long-term tutoring practice, graduate-level math education training, and practical application allows me to effectively support students in mathematics across multiple grade levels and learning needs.
