You can sew like a pro!

I am a clothing designer by profession. I have my own company and continue to do business with high end clothing stores. My garments have been made of everything from cotton knits to silk shantung. My specialty now is Silk Shantung and I make beautiful things that women wear to all their special occasions.
I learned to sew in grade school, making outfits for myself to wear to the Saturday night dances. It wasn't until after college that I became involved in the garment center in New York. It was an accidental meeting with someone starting a store on the lower east side of Manhattan that led me to my future. He needed consignment merchandise for his store so I agreed to make clothes for him. One thing led to another, we became partners, went to school at night at the Fashion Institute in New York and made our own clothing line.
Years and a few jobs later, my company was born. Many people have passed through the corporate doors and now my business has changed again.
I have closed my showroom in New York and just work with a select few of my stores. I have taken up sewing again and find great pleasure in it. I would love to impart some of the feeling of pride that I have in doing the things done by others now by myself. I enjoy every part of the process, making the patterns, cutting the pattern and then sewing the garment. It would be a pleasure for me to help someone achieve their goals.

I am an excellent sewer. I work each day at my craft and take pleasure in each new skill learned. I delight in finding ways to get the best yield from my cloth, make the perfect seam, working on a good pattern.

I am excited each day to get that small thing that was giving me trouble finally mastered. I see that it's just putting my attention to the difficulty, focusing and trying to get it right. Ripping it out and starting again usually works if all else fails.
