I bring both professional training and real-world experience to every Spanish lesson. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Rowan University, and shortly after graduating, I moved to Guatemala, where I spent three years teaching English. During that time, I traveled extensively throughout Latin America—immersing myself in the language and culture across nearly ten countries. These experiences allow me to teach not just textbook Spanish, but authentic, natural Spanish as it’s actually spoken.

Since returning to the United States, I’ve transitioned into my current role as a high school Spanish teacher, where I’ve been teaching since 2020. I’m passionate about helping students move beyond memorization and truly understand and use the language with confidence. In addition, I completed a Master’s degree in Translation and Interpreting (English–Spanish), which has strengthened my understanding of both languages at a deep, technical level.

Outside of Spanish, I’ve also explored learning languages like Romanian, Portuguese, and French. Through this, I’ve developed effective, practical strategies for independent language learning—tools that I actively share with my students to accelerate their progress.

Whether you’re looking for help with school, conversation practice, grammar, or long-term fluency, I tailor each lesson to your goals and learning style. My goal is simple: to help you gain confidence and actually use Spanish in real-life situations.

Let’s work together to get you there.

I bring both formal training and real-world teaching experience to my ESL tutoring. I have taught English to a wide range of learners, including adult students at an immigrant family center in South Jersey, where I supported learners from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds in developing practical, everyday English skills. From 2017 to 2019, I lived in Guatemala, where I taught English for three years. This immersive experience allowed me to work closely with non-native English speakers while also understanding the challenges of learning a second language from the student’s perspective. In addition to my teaching experience, I have a strong academic background in language, including a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a Master’s degree in Translation and Interpreting (English–Spanish). This training has given me a deep understanding of grammar, language structure, and effective communication strategies—skills that directly support my ESL instruction. I also have experience learning multiple languages myself, which has helped me develop practical strategies for language acquisition. I use these strategies in my tutoring to help students improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills efficiently and with confidence. Whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your fluency, I tailor each lesson to your goals and focus on building clear, confident, real-world English skills.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Rowan University and a Master’s degree in Translation and Interpreting (English–Spanish), which has given me a deep understanding of both the structure and real-world use of the language. After completing my undergraduate degree, I lived in Guatemala for three years, where I taught English and fully immersed myself in Spanish-speaking culture. I have also traveled extensively throughout Latin America, gaining authentic, real-world language experience across nearly ten countries. Since 2020, I have been teaching Spanish at the high school level, working with students of varying proficiency levels and helping them build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. My classroom experience allows me to break down complex grammar concepts in a clear and approachable way. In addition, my background in learning other languages—including Romanian, Portuguese, and French—has helped me develop effective strategies for language acquisition. I incorporate these strategies into my tutoring to help students learn more efficiently and retain what they study. Overall, my combination of academic training, classroom teaching experience, and real-world immersion equips me to support students at all levels, from beginners to advanced learners, in reaching their Spanish fluency goals.
