Hi, I’m Alona! I’m a current B.S. student at Rutgers University majoring in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Quantitative Economics. I earned a 1560 on the SAT (with a perfect 800 in Math), and I specialize in helping students succeed on the Digital SAT Math section.
I’ve worked with high school students across a wide range of skill levels, from those trying to break 600 to advanced students aiming for 800/800 on the math section. I tailor each session to the individual student’s needs and pace, focusing on fundamentals like algebra and word problems or advanced timing strategies and test-day execution.
My teaching style breaks complex problems into easy-to-follow steps, emphasizes pattern recognition, and builds the strategic thinking needed to boost both speed and accuracy. I also teach students how to take full advantage of the Desmos graphing calculator on the Digital SAT. It is a powerful tool that, when used right, can save significant time and turn hard algebra problems into simple ones that can be solved in 30 seconds.
I’ve studied the new Digital SAT format extensively and understand the most common traps and tricky formats. After each session, I provide customized homework to reinforce weak spots and track progress. Whether in one-on-one tutoring or small-group instruction, I aim to build both confidence and results.
