Hi, prospective student!
I love mathematics, finance, and computer programming, and I would love to help you in your quest to become more proficient in quantitative subjects. I have been studying and teaching mathematics, finance, and computer science for my entire adult life, and I want to bring my expertise to your learning goals.
I hold a PhD in Mathematics, which I earned after studying political science in college. My first job was teaching high school mathematics. I realized how much I loved mathematics and teaching and decided to go "all in". After graduating from graduate school, I entered the world of quantitative finance and spent many years developing mathematical models of financial risks. This work led me to advanced computer programming topics, so I added an M.S. in computer science to my background.
I have 20+ years of teaching and tutoring experience. My students have always loved working with me, both individually and in groups. I care deeply about my students and consistently work hard to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
I am a fun person to work with, and I excel at explaining complex concepts, including high school math, standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, GMAT, and GRE. I love calculus, probability, and linear algebra, and would happily share my enthusiasm for these topics with you.
Online is best, but I can visit you in Fairfield, Westchester, and Rockland counties as well as northern NJ.
I'll give you 75 minutes for the hourly rate to allow time to reflect and relax as needed.
