Hi everyone, I'm Beatrice! I am currently an Education and History student at McGill University in Montreal. I am pursuing a dual degree Music and Education, with a minor in History. I teach alongside my studies throughout the year, mainly helping students in Music Theory, Brass Lessons, Music History, general History, and SAT/ACT Language prep. Hi everyone, I'm Beatrice! I am currently an Education and History student at McGill University in Montreal. I am pursuing a dual degree Music and Education, with a minor in History. I teach alongside my studies throughout the year, mainly helping students in Music Theory, Brass Lessons, Music History, general History, and SAT/ACT Language prep. As an education student, I have experience creating lesson plans that are more individualized per student. I find that it is best to introduce topics in a more general manner and then targeting the areas that students struggle with. I have a year of tutoring experience in Elementary French and music lesson. Tutoring goes hand in hand with my teaching experience, as it allows us to get to know each student and offer them more help on an individual basis.

French is my first language and I have spoken and written it throughout my educational career. A McGill education offers me the opportunity to refine my French skills on a regular basis as they offer a dual language program. Additionally, I have extensive musical training and knowledge of music theory and history.

I feel confident in my abilities to help individual students reach their greatest potential. As a student myself, I know how difficult and intimidating it can be to reach out for help. I am caught up on technologies that students are used to using in class. Therefore, I will be able to effectively connect the things that students learn in their classroom to this virtual platform!

My teaching philosophy has always been to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for each student. With this in mind, each lesson will be engaging and specific to the student and their needs. I understand how difficult it can be to focus on an online platform, which is why I will include captivating games, exercises, and examples to allow for the best learning environment.

Worthwhile experience

Beatrice has been a blessing to my son's music skill. Her lessons keep him progressing forward and give him a reason to practice. She is kind and patient but motivating.

Beatrice is a very patient and knowledgeable a piano instructor. She teaches our daughter and her she’s learning and picking it up so quickly and effectively. I am leaving just to have many more sessions by her.

Beatrice went over C scale. She was patient with my daughter who had some trouble getting the right finger to play. Online classes has it's challenges but will go for more classes and see how it goes. I'm sure if it was in person it would be really smooth but I guess with practice we will get there.

Beatrice is a great tutor! My son has had 3 lessons so far and he is enjoying the lessons so far. Beatrice seems to be knowledgeable and is patient with my son. He seems to be making improvement in his skills and stays interested in the instrument. I would definitely recommend Beatrice!

Beatrice is very patient in her lessons and makes sure that our child practices before moving ahead. She also keeps the interest alive by constant motivation and encouragement which our child needs especially while learning a new instrument like Piano.
