I’m 27 years old and have been playing music since I was five years old. I play piano, guitar, cello, electric bass, keyboards, drums, sing, and write/produce and record my own music and the music of other artists.

I am a Berklee College of Music alumni and currently teach privately and at multiple programs in Bergen County including a juvenile detention center, children's shelter, and groups of children with learning disabilities. I play and write for a wide range of musical genres and am dedicated to help elevate your musicianship! I also consider myself incredibly patient and capable of explaining given materials in multiple different ways to ensure that my students truly retain the information.

Whether it be rock, indie, RnB, jazz, pop, blues, folk, or classical music, I provide my students with the information needed to get them better not only at their instrument but also at expressing themselves. I not only want to help you learn songs, technique, and ways to think about music, but also assist you on your path to artistic individualism and expression!

Please feel free to contact me if you have anymore questions!

Thank you,
Evan

Approved Subjects

General Music

General Music

I have attended Berklee College of Music and have played many instruments all of my life. I teach theory, improv, ear training, sight reading, sight singing, solfege, music production, audio engineering, songwriting, arrangement, composition, etc.
Guitar

Guitar

I have studied a range of musical genres on guitar including rock, jazz, jazz-fusion, classical, pop, and RnB. I have played in many bands and write my own songs. I teach improvisation, songwriting, arranging, sight-reading, and provide many different methods to visualize and understand the fretboard to help you learn songs and write your own as well!
Music Production

Music Production

I have spent a large amount of time in front of a computer screen learning how to record, mix, master, compose, and arrange songs in multiple digital audio workstations such as Pro Tools, Ableton, Logic Pro X, Reason, and GarageBand. The song sizes I have worked with have ranged from one track to over 400. I am extremely passionate about music production and can go very in-depth about the intricacies of this subject.
Music Theory

Music Theory

I have been studying jazz theory and harmony for about 10 years now. I love reharmonization, improvisation, and the freedom of expression that an understanding of music theory brings to one’s playing. Self-proclaimed theory nerd...I honestly could talk about this stuff for hours
Piano

Piano

I have been playing piano since I was five. I have played a large range of genres on piano including classical, rock, indie, jazz, and blues. I also teach keyboards/synths.
Songwriting

Songwriting

I have been writing and recording and performing my own songs for a while now. Songwriting is one of those things that takes time and a lot of determination, but I thoroughly believe that everyone has the skill inside of them. I will be covering a wide range of ways to approach the subject such as linguistic concepts as well as how theory and chordal “feeling” play a massive role in the mood that is conveyed when tied together with the lyrics.
