Making Learning Fun, Supportive, and Confidence-Building

Hi! My name is Tatiana Fitzgerald, and I am a sophomore at Fairfield University studying Management with a concentration in Human Resources and a minor in Psychology.
I have previous experience tutoring elementary school students in reading comprehension and math, both in one-on-one and supportive learning settings. I have also worked as a children's tennis coach at my local racquet club, where I taught elementary-aged children the fundamentals of tennis while helping them develop confidence, patience, and teamwork. Most recently, I worked as a summer camp counselor at the YMCA with children ages 3-5, where I helped with daily activities, transitions, and creating a safe and positive environment. These experiences have taught me how to adapt to different learning styles and personalities so that I can make learning engaging and encouraging for all children. I also come from a Russian background and can speak, read, and understand Russian, which allows me to connect with multicultural students and families.
Outside of school and tutoring, I enjoy playing tennis, spending time with family and friends, traveling, going to the gym, and reading. I look forward to continue working with students and helping them strengthen their academic skills while building confidence along the way!
