I am a University of Michigan graduate with a degree in Neuroscience. I developed a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, and quantitative reasoning through advanced coursework in both the life sciences and mathematics. Before beginning college I took the ACT and achieved a perfect score, including a perfect 36 on the math, science and reading sections.
I currently work part-time as an ACT/SAT and AP tutor, supporting students in a range of STEM subjects including biology, chemistry, and math. I have over 5 years of experience working with high school students preparing for standardized tests as well as those taking AP-level courses. My tutoring has primarily been one-on-one, allowing me to tailor sessions to each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning style. I have helped students improve both their content understanding and test-taking strategies, with a focus on breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps.
My approach to tutoring emphasizes clarity, structure, and confidence-building. Many students approach exams like the ACT and SAT with a high level of stress, so I focus not only on content mastery but also on helping them develop a systematic way to approach problems. I aim to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging with the material, which I have found leads to stronger long-term understanding and improved performance.
