Hello! I’m Geunrim, a certified and highly experienced Chemistry teacher with over 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I currently teach Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Forensic Science at a public high school in New Jersey, where I’ve had the joy of helping students thrive academically and develop a genuine love for science. I’ve guided students through Honors, AP Chemistry, and general science courses by making complex concepts both accessible and engaging. My dedication to education has been consistently recognized through positive feedback from students, parents, and administrators—as well as the honor of being named Teacher of the Year.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry Education from South Korea and a Master’s degree in Science Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City. Throughout my academic journey, I completed extensive coursework in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry. I also hold a Standard Teaching Certificate in Chemistry in the state of New Jersey.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in clarity, passion, and connection. I believe Chemistry doesn’t have to be intimidating—with the right support and approach, anyone can succeed. I strive to bring abstract concepts to life by visualizing them through models, illustrations, and real-world applications that make the material more concrete and relatable. I teach with energy, dedication, and a genuine desire to see each student grow. My teaching style is student-centered and flexible, always aimed at building a strong foundation, promoting critical thinking, and boosting confidence.
