ACT English

ACT English is about learning and understanding the most common grammatical errors the test uses. I offer you a list of those errors so that you may master them and the test. I have worked with over 100 students on ACT work.

ACT Reading

My philosophy on ACT Reading is that it is an endurance test for the student--which means it is all about practice and learning when and where you can cut wasted time. I offer a methodology which serves to immediately improve a student's score. The ACT, more than any other test, is about self-confidence: a student has to learn they can manage the stressful amount of questions each section offers. I show them that they can.

English

English can be a struggle, but mastering it is one of the best investments someone can make. As a writer and tutor of 4 years, I believe every student can learn to love reading and writing. I believe the key is in developing a student's confidence--when they feel better about their talents, they will naturally read and write. I help them see that they can do it.

Grammar

Like it or not, grammar is essential! Unfortunately, schools today shy away from teaching grammar except at the most basic level. Good grammar is essential to good writing. Furthermore, understanding English grammar will help the student learn other foreign languages which operate with similar grammatical structures, including every Romance Language, Russian, and German.

SAT Reading

I have over 4 years of experience tutoring SAT Reading. I offer a thorough and effective methodology which can be easily learned and shows immediate results.

SAT Writing

I have over 4 years of SAT Writing experience. I tutor writing as well as the SAT, so I bring that speciality to the table when helping a student master the essay section. I offer a clear, easily learned methodology which provides immediate improvement in a student's score.

Vocabulary

Vocabulary is the foundation of greatness. All leaders have in common a magnificent vocabulary. I have numerous methods for mastering vocabulary and put the students work into practice by integrating newly learned words with writing. Students see, and are inspired by, results.

Writing

I have been tutoring writing for both extra-help and enrichment for 4 years and to over 100 students. I have developed my own unique curriculum which takes the complexities of writing and makes them relatable and practicable. I love writing; it is an invaluable skill in which every person should be competent.
