As an experienced Quantitative professional specializing on Time Series Forecasting, Portfolio Optimization, Kalman Filter and Stochastic Modeling, much of my time is spent on applying Machine Learning to predict stock movement or artificially generating missing financial data. For the last 20 years, I have worked in various software companies and Financial Front Office and Risk teams. Being a Computer Engineering major and working in various complex software projects through pioneering companies e.g. TIBCO,BEA/Weblogic, earned me a dearth of knowledge on algorithms and high performance computing. My work included low level TCP/IP design, Application Server development, high performance Quantitative Library design/implementation and many more. I have 5 patents related to networking and software development. For the last 20 years, I have worked on various languages e.g., Python, Java, C++, and computation environments including grids, external clouds etc. My extensive experience enables me to work closely with the students and understand where they need help. Building a strong foundation for algorithmic thinking and high performance code design is a key value add that I take pride in.

I do cherish to share my intellectual achievement e.g. principal inventor of five patents.
I have been a strong mentor for interns and entry level colleagues and have extensively taught online classes. I have tutored students from top colleges e.g. NYU,UPENN,USC,RICE and NORTH EASTERN, and helped them succeed in semester exams and interviews.
My approach to teaching reflects my real life experiences with application of algorithm, model tuning and high performance computing. The course I teach is a right blend of statistics, linear algebra and programming e.g. Python, geared towards building strong foundation for both the enthusiasts planning to pursue machine learning career and the students preparing for academics.

Built LSTM neural networks for portfolio return prediction, outperforming linear benchmarks in directional accuracy.
