I recently graduated with a degree in Aerospace Engineering from Rutgers University, where I spent most of my time as a design engineering lead on a competitive aircraft design team. I worked on the full CAD design cycle of RC aircraft and their components, from early concepts all the way to detailed parts, assemblies, and manufacturing-ready drawings in SolidWorks. I have also worked at prestigious companies like Airbus and Radicon Powerbuild, where I worked closely with CAD models and technical drawings in real manufacturing environments. Between my academic and industry experience, I am very comfortable with SolidWorks and understand the design process inside and out.

A large part of my role was in the student team was mentoring. I trained over 30 team members, many of whom had never used SolidWorks before, through onboarding sessions, design reviews, and one-on-one guidance. I spent a lot of time breaking things down in a way that made sense, whether it was basic part modeling or more complex assemblies and drawings. Over time, this helped speed up our design process and improve the overall quality of work across the team, which was something I took a lot of pride in.

I also have mentoring experience from a variety of settings, working with both peers and younger students. This includes international mentoring through Village Book Builders, which was especially impactful in shaping how I teach. I have also worked with younger students in local settings and through activities like clarinet instruction, so I am comfortable adapting my approach based on age and experience level.

Solidworks

I use SolidWorks for end to end RC aircraft design, including part modeling, large assemblies, and manufacturing ready drawings. My work involves applying design for manufacturing and design for assembly principles, material selection, and basic simulation to validate structural performance and ensure designs are practical to build. As a design lead, I have developed 4 to 5 aircrafts with around 500+ components each, managing full system integration and detailed CAD workflows. I also lead and mentor a team of students, guiding them through SolidWorks fundamentals, assemblies, and design thinking in a hands-on, project-based environment.
