I am an effective and personable teacher for physics, calculus, and Mandarin. I have a long track record of mentoring and tutoring students in these subjects throughout my professional career. I am excited to not only help you with your immediate problems for classes and exams, but also equip you with strategies to deeply understand a subject and tools to learn new material. If I do my job right, you should only need me occasionally after our work together.

I received a PhD in physics from Cornell University, and a BS in physics and a BS in mechanical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. I am a native speaker of Mandarin.

I have extensive tutoring experience. I was a Tutor for at the Bates Study Center at RIT for 3 out of 4 years of my undergraduate career. At Bates, tutors provide help to students on any subjects in calculus, physics and chemistry on a drop-in basis. I was an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for our core University Physics sequence for 2 years. I was also a Supplemental Instruction Leader for physics classes. At Cornell, I was a Teaching Assistant for the General Physics sequence. The students primarily study the material on their own, but can come into the Learning Center for individualized tutoring whenever necessary.
