My names is Alex, and I graduated Northwestern University with a degree in Mathematical Methods for Social Sciences and Political Science. I have extensive experience teaching a variety of subjects, especially with academic/professional research and writing; and high school/college level math.

I am a professional and academic research consultant, guiding clients through various steps of a research process for the past four years. This includes advising on literature review, conducting data analysis, narrowing down research questions, and structuring the research paper. My academic background lies in mathematical analysis of societal issues, but I consulted on a wide variety of topics including macroeconomics, political science, and market analysis. If you have any questions or need advice on your research, I am the person to reach out to.

As an undergraduate consultant at Northwestern University Writing Place for 2 years, I helped hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students with their writing and presentations. I’ve since continued a similar role but for both academic and professional writing, working on projects ranging from screenwriting and college essays to budget reports and policy memos. I also teach writing skills to middle and high school students so that they may improve their writing skills in preparation for college. Whether you need someone to quickly proofread your work, discuss the structure of your writing, or teach your children how to write effectively, I can help!

I currently teach high school and college-level math to students on a one-on-one basis as well, with 7 years of experience in teaching AP Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, and Linear Algebra. My approach focuses on the logic of applications instead of memorization. If you or your child is having difficulty understanding calculus or algebra, I can provide a unique approach to understanding these topics.

Excellent teacher

Alex has been a wonderful tutor! He spent time to identify my daughter’s strengths and weaknesses, found out what she had to do inorder to overcome her weaknesses and made her really excel in the subject. I saw improvement in my daughter’s grade with each class she took with Alex. She started with not being able to please her teacher in school who has a very high bar , no matter how hard she tried, to being commended by the teacher as one of the best in the grade all thanks to Alex!!! So glad we found him.
