I hold a PhD from the University of Michigan and have co-authored papers in organic chemistry as well as utilizing chemistry for the study of new potential medicines. During my time in undergraduate learning, post baccalaureate positions, and in graduate school I had several opportunities for teaching chemistry in both recitations and in laboratory settings and experience helping students either in 1-on-1 settings or in large 20+ student groups. I tailor each session to a student’s needs, whether that means reviewing key concepts, working through practice problems, preparing for an exam, or better understanding laboratory material. My main specialty is breaking down expert concepts into basic explanations in a manner that is understandable and is further applicable to any problem a student encounters.
