Hi, I'm Meghna! I am currently a student with all As in pharmacy school and have excelled academically in all of my classes. I have a strong background in chemistry; in high school, I got a 5/5 on the AP Chemistry exam, 800/800 on the SAT2 Chemistry exam, and ranked first in my entire high school for AP Chemistry. In college, I excelled in General and Organic Chemistry courses, and I was also a TA (Teaching Assistant) for General Chemistry. I currently run a tutoring committee for Pharmaceutical Biotechnology in which I create practice exams for students and run exam review sessions to help students prepare for exams. In addition, I currently tutor students (through a school-affiliated program) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry, which are challenging courses that cover the chemistry of pharmaceutical drug products.
My teaching approach is conversational in nature, meaning that I work with students and their existing knowledge of the subject to bridge the gaps and help them to truly understand the material. I always deter students from brute memorizing all of their lecture slides, and instead help them to understand and master the material. Oftentimes, when a student has difficulties with a class, it is because the teaching they received did not align with the way that their brain learns and processes information. My goal as a tutor is to provide instruction that is tailored and individualized to the needs of each student in order to assist them in achieving their academic goals.
