Hi, I’m Matthew! I’m currently a PhD student in Chemical and Biological Engineering at Princeton University, where I’ve completed my core coursework and served as a teaching assistant for a graduate linear algebra course and an undergraduate lab course.

Before Princeton, I graduated summa cum laude in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida in May 2023 with a GPA of 3.9. At UF, I was an officer in Tau Beta Pi, a selective engineering honor society, and an Engineering Peer Advisor, guiding first-year students through course selection and campus involvement. I also conducted research for a year and a half, culminating in an undergraduate thesis. Additionally, I passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Chemical exam in February 2023, the first step toward professional engineering (PE) licensure.

My tutoring emphasizes conceptual understanding through targeted practice rather than memorization. I specialize in college calculus and ACT/SAT math, having earned 99th percentile scores on standardized college entrance exams and recognition as a National Merit Finalist. My goal is to help students grasp key concepts and the logic behind solving problems effectively. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

excellent tutor highly recommended

Any doubts, push them aside. Matthew is patient, his instructions are clear and concise. Calculus isn’t exactly my daughter’s strongest area but she learned so much and her lessons at school were reinforced to give a little more confidence in her learning. Absolutely thrilled with the tutoring she received. Thanks Matthew!!

Knowledgeable and patient tutor.

He helped me go through chemical engineering fe practice questions, and broke it down to see the big picture and made scary problems look not as scary. He went step by step through the problems and was very clear on the process on how to solve the problems.
