I earned my J.D. from Seton Hall Law School in May of 2023. Prior to that, I studied Political Science and Philosophy at Seton Hall University, where I graduated magna cum laude with two Bachelor of Arts degrees, and as a member of the University Honors Program. You won’t find any pay-to-certify online teaching certs to my name. I’ve taught cohorts of students and successfully completed law school myself.

While in law school (and while studying for the Bar Exam), I served as an educator and graduate assistant with Seton Hall Law School’s Summer Institute for Pre-Legal Studies, where I instructed students in contract law, criminal law, oral advocacy, and other substantive legal topics.

There, I engaged in formal group instruction, led study groups, and tutored students one-on-one. I also spearheaded the development of review curriculum and taught students how to write IRAC responses. I was recognized for my ability to connect with students and drive engagement through instruction.

I have also lectured students on the fundamentals of anti-discrimination law and at-will employment in the State of New Jersey.

My teaching style is conversational, but focused. When appropriate, I integrate multimedia, including film clips, poetry, articles, and music to foster discussion and learning. My students have described me as energetic and patient.

I worked for a premier New Jersey law firm where I had a full caseload of discrimination, whistleblower, and sexual harassment cases against bad employers. I proudly counseled my clients through every step of the litigation process.

I am proud to offer high-level academic instruction to help students to excel.

I earned my J.D. from Seton Hall Law School in May of 2023. Upon graduation, I practiced law as an attorney with NJ's paramount plaintiff-side employment litigation firm. I have extensive experience tutoring students in various substantive law topics, both through Seton Hall University School of Law's Pre-Legal Studies Program, and through one-on-one tutoring. I have instructed students in contract law, torts, criminal law, and property law. My teaching style is conversational, but focused. When appropriate, I integrate multimedia, including film clips, poetry, articles, and music to foster discussion and learning. My students have described me as energetic and patient. I believe effective instruction is a result of clarity of communication, depth of knowledge, and the ability to connect with students. Those are qualities I have cultivated through experience. In sum, I am an individual with years of experience practicing and teaching the law. I am proud to offer high-level academic instruction to help students to excel. My goal is to teach you not just what the law is, but how to think, write, and reason the way effective lawyers do. I'd love to work with you!

Helpful and kind tutor!

Johnathan taught in a way that was very easy to understand and he also made sure to never move on from a topic until I fully grasped it. His teaching style is very helpful with applying topics to the real-world and exam questions. I would definitely recommend!

Really excellent tutor who yields actual results!!

I needed help with Torts and Johnathan was an awesome tutor. It’s obvious he’s passionate about the material. I like that he uses slides and gives hypos. He really brings the concepts we learn in class down to earth. Excellent tutor!
