I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities alongside a K-12 New Jersey State Certification in English. Over the course of my 25-year career in the high school classroom, I have primarily taught juniors and seniors, helping hundreds of students master complex literature, refine their analytical writing, and navigate the college essay process. Throughout my teaching career, I regularly provided targeted, one-on-one tutoring for SAT Verbal prep, helping students break down reading passages, master grammar conventions, and build test-taking confidence. In my current role as a K-12 VP of Academics and Professional Development, I design curriculum, train educators, and continue to work directly with high school seniors with the college process and future mapping.

My specialty is research writing, alongside general proofreading, essay development, and literature analysis. My approach to tutoring is rooted in personalized, diagnostic instruction. Whether guiding a student through thesis formulation, source integration, and citation formatting, or coaching an SAT candidate on verbal strategies, I focus on identifying skill gaps and providing actionable tools. Rather than simply editing a student’s work, I teach them how to research critically, structure arguments logically, and elevate their own writing line by line.

Working one-on-one with high school and college students allows me to adapt my methods to each learner's unique goals and academic level. I foster a supportive, highly structured environment where students feel empowered to tackle rigorous academic research papers, analyze complex literature, and refine their authentic voice. Whether you are aiming to raise your SAT Verbal score, craft a compelling college essay, or master upper-level research writing, my goal is to give you the strategic foundation and confidence needed to achieve lasting academic success.

As an high school English teacher, I worked with 11th & 12th graders who were both college and career bound to hone their research and writing skills. Specializing in both personal narrative for college essays and research writing with source incorporation for a variety of purposes, I guide students through every step of the writing process, from thesis formulation and logical structure to line-by-line polishing. In addition, I complement my writing instruction with strategic SAT Verbal coaching that combines core skill-building with practical test mechanics.
